shrug If he doesn't score he's had a nightmare, if he does score he's done poorly. No striker in our squad's going to look good against that standard.
I can't fathom the logic here. By your description, what you refer to as our "tiki-taka" system's apparently so successful our striker should be embarrassed he doesn't score at least two goals every time he plays. How is this a reason to change it?
But then, we don't actually play that system. We're not a particularly high possession side in this incarnation, and we certainly don't have a dominant passing, pressing midfield that pins opposing sides back and retains the ball reliably. Feels like a lot of these criticisms are recycled from five years ago.
