Welbeck done fuck all when Giroud went off, looked like we had 10 men when we got the ball. I'm not his biggest fan but without Giroud this team looks lost, too many similar players trying to do the same thing.

If we sign somebody like Lacazette in the summer we'd have to change the way we build attacks.

I am not talking about his usual put hands to head action. Watch him from 50th-60th minute. The crowd got on his back and there's no way he can continue.

Wenger usual style when chasing a game is to send 2 up top. He couldn't have done that yesterday with the crowd reacting.

Be interesting to see how he reacts after Wenger hung him out to dry. The ironic cheering as he left was embarrassing.

Fuck, sometimes i am really embarrassed for our fans. They turn up at the Ems, they do not create any noise and instead of getting behind the team and the players they start moaning at them.

It's the chicken and egg thing of whether the crowd need the players to offer signs of encouragement and the players needing the fans on side. The average person would've spent £80 towards the club yesterday. The prices are high based on supply and demand and very little consideration was given to the quality of support. The club are responsible for it.

Giroud was Giroud, Ozil was Ozil, Wenger was Wenger. This performance was just as representative of their ability and character as any other.

It has happened to us quite often in recent years. I can remember Eboue, Arshavin, Diaby suffering that too.

It is such a messy concept in todays world. People feel some kind of entitlement to be entertained because "they have paid their money". People act as if players and the club owe them. They have to entertain, they have to win. If not people jeer at them. People only give their support to the players when they are performing well.

Giroud gets plenty of support and encouragement even when he's not playing well. It's a little different when you've missed half a dozen chances including some real sitters, especially given the scoreline. Jeering is never justified but you can't expect people to be supportive in those situations either.

Same way I feel. Immediately he came off, the only available "tactic" we had was to try and release Walcott to use his pace. A threat which can easily be nullified by a switched on defence. Way I see it, We have two options when it comes to Giroud:

1) Recognize him for what he is: an average to decent player with a few strong characteristics which make him a good, and the best fit for our attacking style, and appreciate and support him accordingly.

Or,

2) we allow ourselves get annoyed and frustrated and boo and curse and scream at him for not playing consistently like a Cavani or an Ibrahimovic.

Olly Gee ain't no Cavani folks. Sooner yall realize this, the sooner you achieve oneness with the universe.

He's been good enough for us over the last ten games, and should be good enough vs Monaco. But he's clearly not good enough for the big games and yesterday ended up being one because as a team we sucked.

Why should he play in the next game if he's not good enough - because he's all we've got?
I'd rather play Welbeck at CF and change our style of play going forward or even start Akpom.

If we're talking about dropping BFG until further notice then Giroud doesn't get a pass as IMO neither are good enough - end of.

Course he's good enough to start against Everton so start him, see how he does, and if he's still suffering some mental trauma after last night, haul him off and switch the front three around.
