In defense of that viewpoint (which I don't hold for the record), I don't think its beyond either of those players to put in a very good performance against Georgia at home

ozil was actually really good against ireland fwiw. muller, kroos and reus were crappy. and boateng is the german wes clown.

i still think ozil is germany's key attacker and a critical part of their starting 11. he gets overlooked in the highlights reels which usually feature guys like muller and schurrle, but when you watch their games he's still laying on chances for everyone, and making clever movements
