Held the ball up really well at times too in the second half. His body language is completely different when he's confident, you can quite literally see it in his face.

Loved his finish today typical Ozil, anyone else would have blasted it (and probably hit one of the dopes) but his tame placement was the perfect technique to use the pace on the pass to just guide it in- Nice one Mesut.

There really wasn't much to aim at with the finish he chose, as you saw from the reverse angle—De Gea was more or less unsighted with two defenders in the road.

It was an intelligent finish. Last time I remember he was criticised for not blasting and instead trying for placement. Thought it was a lazy, silly critique then too.

Ozzie is not a blaster, he leaves that sort of finishing to Sanchez.

not all situations require the same finish, so how was it a lazy critique? this situation called for exactly what he did. the other situation didn't. and if sanchez tries to blast a ball and skies it when he should go for placement, he'll get criticized too.
