Movement always comes before the pass. That doesn't mean another player is to be blamed for Ozil's lacklustre displays. He doesn't take enough responsibility but reading the comparison above, he is nothing like Silva and may be we are expecting him to be a player he isn't. He was never a player to set the tempo, he doesn't get on the ball as much as midfield playmakers do. His vertical movement is top class and his final ball and vision are too. He will get enough assists, he adds goals to his games and we won't have this discussion. If he was in the Silva or Fabregas mould then we would never play Cazorla behind him.
