In the past he used struggle against the smaller teams as well - I think he's starting to show a little more hunger and aggression in his game.

I don't think confidence is a problem with Ozil, Karanka was saying how Ozil needs to be constantly put under pressure from the manager, as Mourinho did, to perform to his high standards. Maybe the performances and pressure from Sanchez and Cazorla has pushed him to improve his performance.

Completely disagree, if anything I'd say the pressure on him to perform through the past year has been partially what's been hindering his performances.

There isn't a footballer on the planet I enjoy watching on the pitch more than I enjoy watching Mesut Özil. It still makes me smile when I see him in my club's colors. 🙂

i'd agree with that rex. i'm still a bit of an asthete when it comes to football, it's not all about end product and grit to me. ozil is just glorious to watch when he's on it

He was playing with joy yesterday. Kept embarrassing those Boro boys with fancy footwork and managed the offense well in general. I do want to see him shine when we face a stifling defense though.

I thought he was better against Leicester personally, but he was very good today too. He's in good form right now. Watching him play just brings me an incredible amount of joy. Technically he's the best player in Premier League bar none.
