Lagos, questioning Walcott is perfectly fine. However, he is one of the few players we have who actually has a good track record of putting chances away. There isn't a single player in the squad we have that I would rather a goal scoring opportunity fell to over Walcott. In essence - who cares if he has 15 touches in a game if he is getting 3 chances and puts away one or two of them?
Personally, I don't care about how mazy his dribbles are, or how excellent his short or long passes are; in the end the game is about goals, and Walcott scores them and assists them. He is a world class finisher, he has a world class first touch, he is world class at spotting openings and timing his runs, and he has world class pace. Let's build around that and focus less on his shortcomings.
