What's great about that pass is that Walcott does the slightest bit of movement and is about to point to Ozil where he want's the ball but Ozil is way ahead of him, Theo should have swung at the ball first time.

Walcott is a clueless finisher unless he has clear sight at goal. Hit those chances first time, and they're almost certainly goals, but he took touches for all of them and fucked it up.

Probably, but he does it so often. Good striker would've buried those chances.

He'd do better if he started every game up front, and get some consistency and experience with his finishing, but sadly we can't offer him that, and nor can his body it seems.

Team I promoted ahead of the game was pretty much what Wenger went with. I'd have rested Mertesacker instead of Kos, and I wouldn't have played Gibbs.

And what people who post on these forums daily and watch 60 Arsenal games a season forget is that many of the people voting know very little about players beyond their own leagues and sometimes teams. Having an informed opinion on a shortlist of 20 players typically requires that you have watched 8+ teams in different leagues consistently. Or you could just recall all the highlights from the Barca and Real games you watch anyway and vote those players. In England, the only story is Vardy. Ozil is still overcoming an initial perception issue (unfit, doesn't like it up him). Other than a consecutive games record, Vardy isn't outperforming Lukaku, but nobody mentions him at all.

Depends on who they are and for whom they write.
I know a guy who writes for The Times (not on football), he's exceptionally knowledgeable in his area and he rates those who write on football (for the same paper) highly.
There are plenty of football writers out there who aren't big names who are well capable of recognising Özil's worth.

He doesn't actually qs 🙂 - somebody writes the column for him.
There are plenty of football writers on The Times books, and, like I said, a lot are not big names.
I'm guessing not many actually buy the paper and read the match write-ups, if you did you'd know that the writers have as good a grasp of the game as any poster on here.

Scott Parker was the embodiment of 'british spirit' around that time, quoting Henry V in the dressing room and all that type of shit.

Vardy seems to mostly be considered a chav bastard who is having a good season in between beers and fighting.

I dont think one particularly influences the other as far as POTY votes will go.
