That's the problem though, if you have a blasé attitude towards them shooting people in that kind of scenario then it's not really a surprise when some of them abuse that license and take it to another level.

Police are there to protect people but there's no fucking way I'd feel safer in that kind of environment.

Indeed.

While I support the rights of law enforcement to self protection even with deadly force, I can't help but wonder about their training - they are taught to shoot at the center of mass. Why do that all the time? In all situations? When you can easily shoot to maim in some cases?
