There's a lot more detail about that alleged marital rape floating around the internet from biographies and other sources. If it's not true it's a pretty elaborate false claim.

The messed up thing about it is policywise it's Trump who looks like Gandhi next to Cruz. He plans to break up a good handful of departments like the Department of Commerce and Education and just leave their functions for the markets to substitute. He also thinks a country like the US with 320m people in it should have a flat income tax of 10% and that it would be a great idea to slash the IRS too while he's at it.

True, but at least he has policies. Trump just makes it up as he goes along.

I get your point but in this case I'd probably take policy-less retardation over systematic and willful insanity.

Clinton won't be much better for what it's worth. In terms of foreign policy she's just as neoconservative and militaristic as her GOP opposition.

Sanders is the best option of the lot. Itll probably be Hilary for Pres though. Then again I thought that 8 years ago before Obama turned up so who knows.

Best outcome would be for the GOP candidates to tear each other to pieces and one of them to leak some juicy news about old Bill keeping transsexual prostitutes in his basement or something.

Sanders is no Corbyn but he's the best candidate the US have had in decades.

Come on, the Nobel Peace Prize is usually won by fascists these days. It's like a rite of passage.

It's not just "these days" really, Hitler was nominated the year he started WWII and probably would've won it if not for that small detail and even the original fascist Mussolini was nominated a couple years before that.

It's not just nominees by the way, the price is actually won by legitimate mass murderers war criminals and other assholes as well. Kissinger in the 1970s, Obama in 09 or the European Union in 2012 (:lol🙂 just to name a few especially dumb picks.

Isn't it really easy to get nominated for a Nobel prize? I've seen campaigns for brewers to be nominated and it seems easily achieved.

Depends heavily on the prize category, the Peace category for example is a big joke and mostly just PR and politics. The Economics prize had many actual pioneers as winners but also a good few like Scholes which were met with criticism early on.

edit: nvm you're talking about nominations. Prize winners are allowed to nominate anyone they want in their own category select certain political entities or parliaments can make nominations for peace winners. Think I read other categories are decided on in Swedish (or Norwegian?) universities.

I think any Uni can nominate someone. I'm not sure though and can't be arsed looking it up.

I think its quite obvious Trumps not going to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

First link I looked up said "chosen Scandinavian and other universities", you could be right can't be bothered either.

Whatever, the prize is worthless and I wouldn't even rule out Trump winning it. I read an interview with some guy who had left their committee many years ago in which he said that controversial picks like Kissinger were part of their strategy of keeping themselves relevant, makes sense as they might as well have picked al-Baghdadi for the peace prize.
