Yes we created chances that we didn't take & we should have been 2-3 goals ahead before they scored.
That said I DON'T want us to progress or even put in an improved display if it means the status quo being retained. I'd rather see a repeat of our collapse post the CCup Final defeat of 2010, as IMO this has been our worst CL performance of the AW era.
I don't want any more false dawns or get out of jail passes for anyone on or off the pitch.
We can create the chances but we don't have the players to reliably finish them.
We have pace but we use it in work rate and cover defence.
We persist in trying to play short passing to feet through the middle.
The players aren't good enough to persist with AW's vision of the game, and IMO AW's vision is for a bygone era and has not only failed since the move through 3 squad rebuilds, but also has slipped further off the pace with the changes to the market post CFC, Citeh, and now the new TV revenue era.
There is no longer any margin for error to continue to indulge AW's flights of fancy.
