You're missing the whole point Alf, its not just the technical quality of the players that wins the CL, the technical tactical quality of the manager is more important imo.

Wenger was the manager in 2006 so it's all good. Plus Chelsea actually won the thing with both a shit team and a shit manager.

I reckon we've got a slim chance this year, for the first time in a while.

Nope, we've been in the first division since the Austria-Hungarian empire has been dissolved.
We've even won a thing or two before football was invented in 1997
