JazzG There were loads of reports about David Luiz undermining Unai as well. Always seemed extremely toxic to me. He'd be shit, be a fucker behind the scenes then come out and make public statements about taking responsibility, etc Always came across as very fake to me. Also one of the most cynical players I've seen play for us. Its no coincidence things started improving after he went.

I used to dislike David Luiz, but this changed my whole perception of him.

I liked Luiz, I think he’s one of those who’s great if he’s fighting for you but a nightmare if he’s against you. Overall, you’re better off without those sorts of characters.
TBH, i never had much time for Luiz. I thought he was error prone, and with the system and the players we had, he was the wrong player at the wrong time.
He was always a player who lacked a good understanding of the game but he got away with it when he was young cos he was quick. That was gone before he arrived here. Was generally very poor for us. His passing was overrated too. As soon as Arteta replaced him with White we went up a level.
Qwiss yep. Ball-playing centre back my arse.
He couldn't build play whatsoever with short/medium passing between the lines. The occasional successful Hollywood long ball came off, but Mustafi had a handful of successes there too.
Of the signings we've made from Chelsea he managed to lower the bar even further than thought possible. A player you dream of seeing in the opposition defence. Don't think I've ever disliked an Arsenal player more.
JazzG big Dave stopped to let me cross the road outside the Stadium that afternoon, gave him a courtesy thank you wave before I did a double take and realised who it was. He was laughing his head off and waving at us. I didn't even look to see who was in the car with him.
Tom Hiddlestone is such a fantastic story teller.
Qwiss I just think it is very disappointing he shaved his tash and pony tail off, just doesn't look right to me.
JazzG he looks like cartoon character now.
The state of things when someone working for Arsenal recognises Tom Hiddlestone over David Seaman...
Don Pacifico This wouldn't be an issue if he had kept his tash and ponytail.
Simon Jordan is insufferable but this interview with Wilshere was decent apart from Simon constantly attempting to bait Wilshere into shitting on Wenger/Arteta.
Is Grealish slow?
Claudius Is Grealish slow?
Haven't you ever heard him talk before? 😂 He's as slow as they get.

If we had to do it all over again, i.e. manage the club through the transition, would you want Wenger to guide the club through it, or someone else?
daredevil I would've convinced Wenger to join the suits sometime post-2008. I still believe he was important in keeping Jabba below 30%.
The main issue isn’t Wenger. It’s Dein and the standoff he caused for a decade between Jabba and Stan. As soon as Stan had full control, there was an energy and seriousness around the club that we hadn’t seen since before the board started selling their shares.
Claudius an energy and seriousness that resulted in Wenger being turfed.

Thats re-writing history. As soon as Arteta arrived there was an energy and seriousness. Before that we had full control Stan allowing Raul to act shady and Mislintat signing his busted old mates. We had Unai looking for players and getting ones he never wanted. If we hadn't signed Arteta and he hadn't power pointed them into being serious I doubt it would have happened at all.
