Because we didn't sign anyone. Not because we failed to sign Schneiderlin.
Wenger knows what needs to be done this summer as well as anyone. Whether he actually has the guts to do it remains to be seen, but it's at least encouraging to know that we're not going after 6/10 players anymore. No more Ospinas, Szczesnys or Schneiderlins.
We went after a bang average Welbeck last summer, and true to form he still managed to disappoint. It was clearly the wrong move in retrospect and you'd think Wenger learned something from it. Instead of overpaying for a squad player we should have used the cash to sign someone outstanding long before deadline day.
