Coming from a similar position as you mdgoonah41, I only really watched Ospina at the World Cup and the couple of times he played this year. From what I have seen, he looks pretty decent, remians to be seen how he performs over a number of matches in the Pemiership and tougher days are ahead (perhaps immently) but I don't feel that Szczesny is automatically a better option.
For me Szczesny has generally poor decision making and quite often seems to end up in a mix with the defence, which appears to indicate that he isn't much of a communicator. Add to that his over confidence, its fine having a bit of arrogance but you have to know your limits, and it doesn't appear to me Szczesny has that.
Admitedly it was only one game against a poor Stoke side but even then when Ospina came to get the ball it seemed the defence knew that was the case and it at least appeared that everyone knew what was happening. I even saw him organising Monreal when we had a corner shouting at him to take up a different position oresumably to cover any counter which is something I have never really seen Szczesny do.
Have to see how he does if he gets a run but for me the jury is very much still out on Szczesny.
