Made Man City his bitch today - let's keep him around for next year, sign another midfielder and get rid of Flamini. He's a genuine option. I said he needed to do it against the best teams, and he did it today.

Never really rated him as highly as some, but I'm happy to be corrected.

i always mention it, but during that spell in early 11/12 season when we were a mess, coq was superb. his career took a strange turn soon after. and now here he is bossing things for us

Serious? I totally don't remember him being bad for us. Whenever he played for us he impressed. He was only bad on loan which is really weird.

He's what Flamini is supposed to be. He have all of Flamini's battling qualities, but without excessive pointing and shouting. Not mention, he can keep possession really well and is a decent passer.

Come to think of it, he probably got sacked after the chairman saw how Coquelin is playing for us 😆

Still quite young too, have to keep him, a great squad player with so much fighting ability. For a moment I thought he was screaming at Sanchez who lost a ball in the first half but then I thought nobody actually had the balls to have a go at Sanchez. ;-)

yeah i don't recall the coq being shitty for us, it was his loan spells. even in some big games that we lost, he was one of the better players on the day: away to tottenham a couple years ago. even in the 8 2 be arsenal game he was like one of the few that wasn't an embarrassment.
