It's okay. More match practice and he will perfect his tackles.

He doesn't lack match practice its just poor tackling technique. Even when he gets his timing right and gets the ball he still gets penalized more often than not for dangerous play.
Having said that I really like the other aspects of his game. Its easy to forget he is 23 which is a young age for a DM. He could still have future at the club given that Flamini's contract expires in the summer. Don't think he'll ever be good enough to be first choice but he could be a decent squad player for few seasons.

I actually saw Coquelin in a club once. Was about 2 years ago more or less. He was with Chamakh but looked quite shy and overwhelmed by it all.

If you like your warriors you'd love that kid Bielik we were looking at. Closest to a potential new Vieira I ever seen.

I think you're a bit into wishful thinking realm here. He did look aggressive in the last outings, but he had serious attitude
question marks in his 370 loan spells before (and here as well). A warrior like you describe is a dude always on it -
a rare thing, particularly coupled with quality (the dench person had it, but not with quality. Alexis has it - maybe we should play him
at DM? he's about to be injured for the season anyway). Bottom line - same as it always was: we need to buy a quality DM.

Main positive about Coquelin for me is that he looks to be a decent third option for next season behind Arteta and Beast CM, and at some point during next season perhaps move ahead of Arteta as second choice for that role.
Flamini is off in the summer, and that means we have upgraded his role in the squad without doing diddums. Wenger likes this.

Fairly certain that Flamini has another year on his contract.

Just like when he joined: he was already training with us, we missed one in the position, no money involved, wenger "what the hell, let him stay".

Indeed, if I recall correctly it was announced that he signed a three years contract in 2013.
