The boy should have had 2 reds and a yellow today; to walk away from the game with just a yellow is a miracle really. As Klaus said, he almost gave the game away after 9 minutes. I think Flamini is reckless with his tackling sometimes, although that has changed since he doesn't tackle at all any more, but Coquelin is on another level; he has had at least one horror tackle in each game he has played so far. If Wenger hasn't completely lost it he'll have a serious talk with the lad, because he is clearly the best option we have with Arteta out. If he doesn't learn, quickly, there will be red cards and we will suffer as a team for it.
I think, unlike Campbell, he is getting games because he is playing his natural game thereby performing better.
Even as a youngster i always thought he went to ground far too often but, then, we had alternatives.
It is also my main criticism of Jack who has failed to pick up Arteta's nous despite playing and training with him for several years.
This "stone-age" type of play is fine for the Hulls of this world but when he comes up against better players, he will be easily beaten or get that red card when he comes up against players who employ the ever trusty dying swan technique
Edit:
BTW how quintessentially Hully is this man!
Aggressive agricultural tackle, check.
Rudimentary technique miles from the ball, check.
Big muscles in the wrong areas, check.
Iain Dowie spotty face, check.
Naturally hull coloured hair, check.
Black non-pansy northern boots, check.
