He's pretty small sized, but Makelele is small sized too and he is the best in that position.
Not to mention he has a fantastic leap, always time it perfectly and uses his body so well that people can't outjump him.

I think this is the single most impressive thing about him. Everytime he is pressured by a few players he will still find a way to get out and then produces a good pass next. It's such a good quality to have, because most of our squad players can't cope with this bar Wilshere. I have always had high hopes for Le Coq, but don't think I have ever imagined him to be this good, till he actually solved our DM issues almost singlehandedly.
