Brilliant game. I like how he's not a limited hatchet man. Has a decent pass on him, and his dribbling, when required, is great.
He's great. I think it would be very difficult to find someone better than him in the summer. Better of signing a world class box to box player who can play back there as required.
He's been brilliant more often than not.
Should still sign a midfielder to complement him though, not necessarily replace because this guy is the real deal.
EDIT: Just saw Otf had the same thoughts.
A Pogba--Coquelin duo would dominate most teams.
Agree. His attitude is outstanding, never shies away from a duel with anyone, always running for the whole 90 minutes.
Man of the match for me, and probably our best and certainly most consistent performer this year.
Love him to bits. How we've missed someone like him over the years.
Would not swap him for anyone in the league.
He's like a Makelele that could play and then some.
you can tell we really only have one midfielder capable of defending consistently. he stands out alot in that regard
Really fancy him to do well vs United next week.
Biggest test though will come when we play Chelsea. Would so love Coquelin to boss Matic and Fabregas.
Also, I know the isn't the "I told you so" thread, but I made this post nearly 3 years ago.
Coquelin's one of those talents that has the right combination of natural ability and attitude to be a success here. Only injuries can stop him from becoming good enough to start for us within the next 2 seasons.
Only half a season out :saint:
Fast becoming my favorite Arsenal player. Beast.
Can't decIde whether the mask is cool or whether it looks like a homemade cardboard and gaffer tape effort.
His impressive quality is his composure in tight situations. He always finds an out, even when it seems nigh on impossible.
No one cared who he was until he put on the mask.

So you were wrong? ;D
😆 If you didn't chop off the rest of his post you'll see that he admitted as much.
