I don't understand it's all in gibberish.
Basically says Arsenal and Man U both looking to loan the footballer formally known as The Verminator in Jan. Imagine if this actually happened...pure comedy!
Great, get him in! These are the sort of forward thinking pro active defensive initiatives that we expect for 8M p/a.
😆 He still hasn't played a minute for Barca.
Wow. I thought nothing could beat the Kim kallstrom story.
Vermaelen hasn't played for Barca because he's still injured since the World Cup. And before that he was injured for months for us. He's been out for almost a year at this point. Sounds like a credible rumour, this.
Just the sort of shrewd signing we should make. I still can't believe we managed to sell a player who has been injured for about 5 straight months! Then we used the money to replace him wi... Ah, never mind. 🙁
I'm just glad we're not left holding the bag right now. I feel for Vermaelen, but his career at the top is probably over.
Has anyone actually seen this guy play? What are his strengths and weaknesses?
I remember he scored some incredible bullets during his time at __________ (wish I could remember the PL club he used to play for).
I'd say he's worth 5-10 goals from centre half a season!

He was good for Ajax.

Too short.
He looks pretty tall on some of the pictures.
Same height as Stam?
Looks about an inch/inch and a half shorter on that pic. Stam's somewhere around 6'3 so that must make Vermaelen about 6'2.
Even taller than Per there.
Just been mentioned that he will undergo surgery, hopefully be back in May.
Very smart rumour this. So credible.
I'd have him back if he regained fitness.
I'd rather recall Jenks, which would allow us to use Chambers as back up CB more often.
