Everyone has bad games, and Ramsey included. However, the vitriol from our fans toward a young player just coming back from a horrific injury was waaaay over the top, and rather disgusting IMO. I think the main reason for that was that he was asked by his manager to carry out a job where he was always going to be found wanting; he was played in Cesc's position, and a lot of fans for some reason compared him to what Cesc did for us. That was never going to end well, and Wenger MUST have known that. Still, he was put in that position. A person with a weaker psyche than Ramsey could have been seriously fucked I think.
Anyway, if you looked closely at what Ramsey did back then, you could see there was a top player in there; his work rate was top notch, he never hid on the pitch, the timing of his forward runs was excellent, and the passes he attempted were mostly the right option. His execution was off of course, both with his passing and finishing, and his coordination held him back.
