Falcao is going to City or Real . If Real dont want him he will follow the money .

Kagawa has signed for Dortmund, 2m rising to 5.5m deal.

There may be some dominoes that will fall. Currently rumours that Chicarito is going to Real, which means they have either given up on Falcao, or that they will get Falcao too and give up Benzema.

Actually, if the Chicarito thing turns out to be true, i'd be quite surprised if Falcao is still going there. We might have a chance.

Chicarito to Madrid? Surely a wind up.

Falcao is going to City. WHo also have 4 forwards . Meanwhile , Wenger is fiddling

Think they're getting rid of Negredo. Valencia wants him.

55m pound deal, ridiculous. These people shouldn't be allowed to compete in Europe. FFP my ass.

No wonder we ain't in for him.

What the f&ck is going on, people? Is Wenger mentally incapable?

One day to save our season.

Make an offer for Negredo.

get nastasic if he's part of the firesale

Has seemed that way for at least 5 years now.

We should just take Negredo and Nastasic off their hands.

Of course it matters. It matters in the context of whether a deal was done in January or not. We could have pushed hard for him at any given moment between then and this summer. We could have pushed for anybody we wanted. There are plenty of strikers who would have moved for stupid money.

Never understood that logic. When the deal is 'agreed', it means agents and players have given their words and plans will be made accordingly. Promises are not broken as easily as you would like to think.

Also, if we would still continue to pursue a player we would need an upper hand to tempt him with. Do we have any over Chelsea right now?

Think we might sign someone tomorrow. Wenger looked a bit coy in the post match interview. Could be a big one...

Will it happen? Imo no.

Poll added.

Surely we've got something lined up, but no idea what.

Predicted it a while back, but FFP makes transfer windows even more insane, because the rich clubs end up in City's position, needing to churn players to stay in line. And they're not the only ones in that position.

I think we're genuinely trying but I actually think we'll screw it up.

Good poll, maybe we could add this to Deadline Day thread instead and not separate the discussion at all?

Mods? 😉

Yes, and I'm telling you that there was no deal agreed. If you have evidence to the contrary please post it. Only three months ago, after the Champions League final, Simeone spoke candidly in interviews about Costa being on the fence about whether he should stay at Atletico or not. Simeone promised that he would support his decision no matter what happened.

Yep. Which is why I think we might be working on 2-3 players, but are waiting for Real, PSG, City etc to make their move first. Maybe Cavani or Benzema tomorrow?

Spanish reports linking us to Bacca 😆 Worse than Remy that guy.

Will Wenger succumb to the outside pressure and get a striker in? He sounds like it in the post-match. The interviewer even said "the whole world is asking you to buy a striker"

wengers comments would suggest something decent is afoot.

been checking for the last month, time to go all in. lets see what comes hrough on the grapevine in the next 24 hours

If Falcao goes to City, the market doesn't change. Madrid have already agreed a loan deal for Hernandez. Doubt PSG will sell Cavani at such a late stage without replacement.

We're brokering a deal for Cavani right now. It will happen.

Wishful thinking to say the least, Klaus

It started off ok, went good in the middle, but has gone awful since. Maybe a final push left.

Want to believe there is some good plans in motion but I fear panic stations and numbers to prove he is responding rather then stumping up significant cash to try to improve the deficiencies.

Carvalho is not playing. He is the one.

Are you serious? It is HD on my TV and he is in the starting line up.

I think we both know that we might as well stop here because there is no way to actually post any actual 'proof', since such things are usually agreed verbally behind the closed doors.

You choose to believe that Simeone was telling the truth, i choose to believe Mourinho gave it away with his comments after the January window closed (in addition to many rumors that were floating around about it).

And that's fine, so lets just leave it at that 😉

I think he was never the one. Him playing today just confirms there is nothing in it, just agent trying to get a move for him.

Sorry. Done a madness.

I've merged the two Deadline Day threads.
Poll for "Madness - yes or no?" included.

If something big was in the works, we'd have heard about it by now. Expecting a Schwarzer or Santos level signing.

The first article on ozil appeared 1 year and 2 days ago.

Immediately after the post match interview as far as I remember. He was basically done by 12.

I do believe that Wenger will jump on a big signing if one is becoming available due to other moves, realistically the major players that will move are going to be going to and from PSG, Monaco, Madrid, City?
Depending on who those clubs are willing to sell to sort their books out we may end up with a madness.
