Never understood that logic. When the deal is 'agreed', it means agents and players have given their words and plans will be made accordingly. Promises are not broken as easily as you would like to think.

Also, if we would still continue to pursue a player we would need an upper hand to tempt him with. Do we have any over Chelsea right now?

Surely we've got something lined up, but no idea what.

Predicted it a while back, but FFP makes transfer windows even more insane, because the rich clubs end up in City's position, needing to churn players to stay in line. And they're not the only ones in that position.

Yes, and I'm telling you that there was no deal agreed. If you have evidence to the contrary please post it. Only three months ago, after the Champions League final, Simeone spoke candidly in interviews about Costa being on the fence about whether he should stay at Atletico or not. Simeone promised that he would support his decision no matter what happened.

Yep. Which is why I think we might be working on 2-3 players, but are waiting for Real, PSG, City etc to make their move first. Maybe Cavani or Benzema tomorrow?
