Is it me or is his name an oxymoron?
Definite possibility.

As it turns out, no.
Now that's de profundis.
This is the kind of quality we should be looking at, not Scott fucking Parker.
Would be a dream to get this kid in. Hope we've got something lined up with him.
he'd provide a much needed spark to our attack and would mean we could counter effectively again!

Hear, hear.
I think there's a good chance that we'll replace Arshavin with Hazard this summer.
Zenit buying Arshavin for close to the cost of us signing Hazard would be sweet.
Not only is he brilliant when he gets the fullback one-on-one in tight areas, but he can carry the ball at a ridiculous speed with it glued to his foot. Would be a superstar for us in the years to come.
I still think it'll take him a year or two to really get going but we can afford that with Nasri and Theo in the team. He's still going to be an improvement on the squad depth and he's got a brilliant future ahead of him. Signing him along with another defender or midfielder would be a real statement of intent.
After seeing his statements about not being good enough for Real but Arsenal being a good place to learn I've decided I don't want this guy. I want players who are ready and want to play for Arsenal, not players who want to play for Real or Barca and see us as a stepping stone.

is he consistent?
by that i mean, does he contribute consistently throughout the match or is he a highlights player like arshavin? i feel we need more players who will get involved from start to finish and not go awol for 10-15 mins at a time...
He's energetic kel and looks to be involved in all attacking moves. He drifts across the front line. I think he'd take to the premiership instantly

As I posted over there, Hazard also said this:
"Real Madrid and Arsenal are the clubs I dreamed of joining as a child,”.
“If I joined Inter or Barcelona and could play football there then that would be very good, but Real and Arsenal are really great and play at a very high technical level.”
“I must repeat that it is too early to move. In one or two years I will maybe make the next step.”
He doesn't lack any confidence in his ability. He would come straight here hoping to play and to contribute.
Kel: He's still too much of a highlights player in my opinion. He's only going to get better though whereas Arshavin is entering his decline. He's got a very good shot and is more than willing to give it a go from distance which is something we're missing. Would hate to see him end up at any other club when he finally moves.
I cant shake the feeling that spending the majority of our budget on this kid would be a mistake, at least as far as next season, and possibly the one after, are concerned.
If we can get him aswell as a commanding, experienced centre half and a good defensive midfielder then fine. If it's just him and then budget options, we'd be mad imo.

2 totally different players, with different roles in a squad. What are you on about?

how is his link up play? is he a smart player who will release the ball quickly when needed and find space to provide the other players with passing options?
He is smart and yes he releases it quickly. think of him as a good mix of nasri and overmars
Movement is key.
Nothing annoys me more when you see someone in the side pass the ball forward and then slowly jog forward providing no support or options to the player on the ball. For example, Arshavin the other day passed the ball forward to Robin in a semi counter-attack, and instead of carrying on running to provide an option down the left he stopped at the half way line and watched as Robin had to hold and hold and hold the ball until he could release the ball to someone else. Arshavin is far from being the only culprit.
