What would be the problem of us having a player who sees us a spring board to one of the giants? Buy him for £25m, have him here for 3 years, and then sell him on for £40m. I don´t see the problem tbh. If a player is good enough to move on to one of the giants of European football from us, that means he has performed pretty damn well here.

Having said all that - Hazard seems like a really unpleasant guy.

Nothing wrong with aspiring to Madrid or Milan, as long as they keep it to themselves and don't embarrass the club that they're at. But Hazard is far from perfect, so I'd rather we got someone who won't start a transfer saga every fucking summer and worth building a team around someone with a little more commitment. I don't believe you'll play at your best if you've got your eye else where anyway, see: Nasri, Samir or Hleb, Alex or Adebayor, Emmanuel or any of the bottlers who play well for half a season and go into hiding just when things get tough.

No huge problem, and if we did sign him I'd be massively excited. But I'd also be a little uneasy because I'm not sold on his attitude and commitment.

But I also think, if we've got the millions to blow on Hazard we've got enough to attract other top quality players who will see their long term futures with us.
