FUCKING KAKA!! Let's get real, Arsenal signing him would be frikkin IMMENSE!!!!
Eden Hazard
Let's be honest, he would pay for himself with the number of replica shirts shifted as soon as he touched down. I spent the last two weeks waiting to see Aguero play for City and I hate that club; the excitement generated by Kaka in the premier league would be unbelievable.
I'd cream myself as much as anyone, but I still think it would make little sense unless we can't get a younger player of that mould for a similar amount.
That's how I see it too, Capi/Tim. Kaka is a superstar.

Otfgoon. It's the signal it sends. That there is life after Henry after all. That we can still attract a marquee player (even if he's one who has fallen on hard times). As Capi says, Kaka shirts would sell. If he stayed fit and did a decent job (25 goals and/or assists), he would probably have the top-selling shirt in England. Sometimes it's not just about winning. We need to restore some of the lustre we have lost
Don't disagree Cal, but then if a player like Hazard or Gotze come and turn into superstars they'll be selling shirts for a long time, helping us win for a long time, and also restore some of the lustre we have lost. Maybe not to the same extent, but the choice between signing very good players who'll turn into superstars and signing a very good player who used to be a superstar is an obvious one.
Reports of kaka's demise have been greatly exaggerated. Still absolutely world class and he'd immediately be one of the best footballers in the league.
We are so desperate for playmaking ability and penetration that I would try to get my hands on both a Kaka and a Hazard/Gotze. If I had to choose just one, I'd go with the latter because they feel more of a sure thing, but it would be exciting to bring in a player everyone in the world loves
Ricky1985 wrote:Sure Klaus/Kel, but it's not as if Kaka is some no talent loser, he's a former world player of the year, surely still has it in him to contribute at the highest level, with the right club and the right manager?
You didn't ask me whether he was a loser or not though, you asked me which one was the better player. Based on last season it was Kagawa up until the point where he broke his foot. Based on their respective age and the opposite ways their careers are going Kagawa is going to be a better signing. Based on which player type we need they both fit the profile.
I say that as someone who considers Kaká to be one of the top five attacking footballers I've seen. I'd love it if we could somehow get him to Arsenal, but I'm concerned about whether he'd be able to adapt to Premier League. I'm concerned about his injuries and his loss of pace that has been increasingly noticeable ever since he signed for Real. I'm concerned about the fact that he hasn't made more than 30 starts in two seasons.
It's not completely unbelievable that we could sign Kaka is it?
The day I learnt that Cesc was leaving, Kaka was the first player that I thought of as a substitute for the status, class and influence that we were losing with Cesc's departure.
It'd be huge lift for our players too if we signed him.
Playing alongside Kaka is probably the stuff of dreams for most of them.
It'd bring some major excitement back to the team.
Edit: just realised this is the Hazard thread.
My personal opinion, having seen plenty of kaka during his 2 years at Madrid, is that when properly fit he's still a good class above the likes of Hazard, Kagawa and Gotze. And I think his game is perfectly suited to the premier league-lots of turnovers and space. he just needs to get out of Madrid and away from Mourinho.
I would genuinely lose my shit if we signed Kaka. Fucking hell; what a signing.
A healthy, motivated Kaka is easily the best option we can take right now. If he's not fully healthy, then the others like Kagawa are more interesting. Still feel we need a player like Kaka and another like Hazard though. With Bendtner going, and van Persie always a goal away from an injury, we could be facing a lot of days with Gervinho as our striker
Kaka is not coming. Neither is hazard. That people are thinking of a possibility of BOTH being purchased is quite mental.
Hazard + Kaka + Kagawa.... how about that?
Honestly though, signing Kaka is more than just for footballing purposes. The name alone makes money.

And this is the truth :gah:
I think there is the slightest of chances we'll sign Kaka.
Don't think we'll sign Hazard.

Are you waiting for Gotze?
My BIL says that Dortmund will definitely sell for anything above £20m but Goetze would be very reluctant to leave.
No way Wenger will pay that.
How much would Kagawa cost anyway? Hazard's supposed fee is pretty high to begin with.
We missed out on Nuri Sahin tbh. He's a steal for the 10-12 million Real paid for him.

That's a very affordable price for the level of talent, and not inconceivable given that the Bundesliga has sold very talented players like Sahin and Oezil for only 12m pounds. If Goetze were actually available for that much, it would represent really good business for all parties.
Kaka is, even now, the most followed footballer on twitter (yeah, I know). He's a superstar, and there's no doubt the shirt sales would hit the roof. Don't know what level he's at these days, and how much exactly he could give us on the pitch. This signing won't happen in a million years though, won't allow myself to believe it.
Yeah, like we'll get any of this lot.
to indulge myself in fantasy for a bit, i do fear that kaka would go all shevchenko on us. but would i jizz my pants if we signed him? you bet your joey barton i would.

Le10Sport are now reporting the Eden Hazard story of last night as well - citing CFoot as a source rather than Mercato365
Lille are rumoured to have agreed a transfer with Monaco for Chu-Young Park, the captain of the south korean national team. Forward who's capable of playing out wide.
any google translated french article sets the pulse racing now
IN TALKS!!!!
Is what we'll be yelling if that's ever confirmed on sky sports
hopefully -
Very nice, Gazza.
i think we will sign hazard.
Joey cole make you think that kel or have you conjured up somesort of epic algorithm?
i think wenger is desperate for some creativity and flair. he knows we need a big signing. i also think we're after goetze (and maybe someone like kagawa), but the difference between lille/hazard and goetze/dortmund is that i think wenger can convince the former to join us. dortmund have a good side. a young side with an ambitious coach. i doubt player/club is interested in parting ways. we will be going all in for some "super quality" and hazard seems like the best guess.
I'd be shocked for us to get a big name and spend such a huge amount so late in the window. Mainly because I don't see any team willing to sell their key men so late. I'd love to be proven wrong though.
If we can't bring in a marquee signing, I'd quite like us to nip in ahead of Roma and sign Pjanic, who I think could be very, very good for us.
Apparently Wenger and other Arsenal representatives are in France. Could mean nothing, he's probably there to do commentary on France's game, but I'd love us to throw some money at Rennes and Lille. Would get me back onside.
Well it looks as though we really did make a pretty big offer for Gotze, so it would make sense for us to look at Hazard next. The money is there and I think the club finally realise that they need to spend it. It's just a case of who'll sell this late in the window.
Personally, I'd have taken my money to Lille rather than Dortmund in the first place.
A lot of people are speaking about the fact "we almost got Hazard" or "we'll get Hazard in the next window" and are all full of excitement. I'm inclined to think this shit is easy to say when the window's closed.
it is - lots can happen between now and jan
For one thing seems unlikely he'd come if we were not in CL-qualifying form come January.
