From that article it seems like there might more to the Benzema rumours than for the Vidal ones. Wenger hardly ever gives anything away with players he's interested in.

You have to admire how much he hates giving away information
on Arturo Vidal… Arturo Vidal? You must be from Chile. We have good midfielders and at the moment we are not looking at Arturo Vidal.
Don't see him leaving Juventus.
Me neither. I think Vidal and Marchisio are the ones they will hang onto over the next few years. Pirlo just turned 36 and Pogba is bound to leave any season now. They need to keep Vidal to avoid debasing their midfield too much.
