We'll be slight favourites at home. Even if it hasn't been clicking, it's hard not to be concerned about the threat of Van Persie and Di Maria. We've got two weeks to get Theo and Ramsey properly match fit. Luckily Smalling will be available for Man Utd.

As an Arsenal fan, United's team coming together is them being in a position where they will directly compete with us.

I think what people wanted was just not to finish below Liverpool last season, not even lower than 3rd and yet we managed to get 4th.

Ours and Liverpool's failures have been caused largely by a mix of financial hindrances and managerial / organizational incompetence.

ManU doesn't have a problem with the former, and they will eventually sort out the latter.

They will win the league again before we do if we continue like this under Wenger.

Based on my opinion. United have always the finances, but it will take a long time for them to overcome Ferguson's departure, in my opinion. They won't have the patience to really back anyone, anytime soon.

They may win it before us, but it will be a long way away, I would say.

I'm with Flobs on this. As much as I hate them, the culture of winning is deeply embedded at Man U. They will sort themselves out sooner rather than later. Unfortunately our club culture has become one based on content with staying in the top 4. Getting rid of Wenger is the most urgent step toward changing this, but more changes will be needed so it's a more medium/long term prospect.

The "culture of winning" means nothing. Liverpool had that "culture of winning" in the 80s but its not a real thing. Once the squad and the manager change you are a different team and you have to start all over again.

Yes we have our problems and being content to keep getting top 4 is bullshit but United are in a situation where they are striving to finish in the top 4. Thats their goal and they failed to achieve it last season. This season they are currently 10th.

Their squad is an absolute mess and I don't see them winning the league for a long time either. Their best players are mostly ageing out too. You wont see the likes of Rooney, Falcoa or RVP win another title with them.

In the PL era you cannot separate United's culture of winning from the fact that for 27 years the driving force behind that culture was Ferguson and the teams that he built.
Take him out of the equation and you're looking at a very different landscape.

Like Flobaba said, if they continue spending big and shuffling through big name managers, they'll eventually find their way back to the title. If we continue like we have, that won't be the case for us.
