Aye, I get the same impression, Klaus.

He used the 'rivalry' to fire up his players and get them to give that little extra.

Debuchy to have a better season than Gibbs.

I dunno, he really seemed to dislike Wenger.

Doesn't strike me as very controversial.

Would be a lot more controversial if he didn't put "peak" in there.

Well it's certainly not going to cause much controversy on an Arsenal forum.

Lampard > Gerrard

The financial disparity between the clubs in the top leagues is a key factor in keeping football enjoyable.

For us? Or in general, measuring by number of fans pleased by the the disparity? E.g. Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and us having far more fans than the rest of the league (or league system for that matter) put together?

In general, I think the financial difference between the clubs in the top leagues from top to bottom makes the sport better as a spectacle and a passion.

Naturally. It's not the economic imbalance that makes it corrupt, but rather the way the system is set up to prevent smaller clubs from ever growing.

How is that controversial? Lampard is/was a better player.

Yeah, doesn't seem controversial to me. It would've been a stronger opinion a decade or so ago, when Lampard was regarded as a selfish and trigger-happy guy with hard limits to his vision.

Really? Most people I come across favour Gerrard - certainly the English press do.

I'd have Lampard ahead of Gerrard in every instance of their careers.
