Worse than signing Sanogo?!

The French star has long been linked with a move to the Emirates, and reports have emerged that the right-back is ready to complete an £8million switch.
And Laurens believes the 28-year-old will be plying his trade in north London next season.
“Talks are ongoing between Arsenal and Newcastle in regards to Debuchy,” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show. “They’re quite positive.
“He wants to leave Newcastle because he wants to play Champions League football and Arsenal are looking for a right-back, after seeing Bacary Sagna leave.
“Arsene Wenger knows Debuchy so well. He’s a proven Premier League player who has some Champions League experience, from his time at Lille.
“That’s why Arsene wants him so badly. He’s ahead of other right-backs, like Serge Aurier. I believe the move will happen.”
Armor wrote:That's quite important actually. Build up play on our right side between Per and Sagna was very poor. I think Sagna is the better right back but I'd be hopeful that Debuchy will more or less be as effective as Bac as his style is a better fit. I guess the worry would be that that side will be weaker defensively and Per will be easier to get at. As some have said its important we get the right midfielder in as well, someone who can cover ground a lot quicker than Arteta.
If we get Morgan or Sami to come and sit for us, while Debuchy and Gibbs raid forward we could be a great counter attacking force. Considering we will have Sanchez + Theo on the wings, making runs for Özil to pick out.

Just like Silvestre.

Thanks for that nahoum, I had just about driven the image of Silvestre in an Arsenal shirt out of my brain, now it is back again
let's not be over dramatic. in a situation where a coach has the choice between sagna and debuchy, debuch is the one selected. this isn't some wenger project player or some washed up player (silvestre).
maybe we just overrate our own players. i'm watching the game right now and it just hit me that of the 3 (the 4th couldn't even make a weak england team) first team defenders we sent to the world cup none of them are starting.

Per started until he got sick. Starting Sahko ahead of Kos is quite obviously idiotic. I've spoken to plenty of non gooners who all think Kos and Sagna should start.
Wonder how long this will take to be finalised?
I'd say within 10 days
No fuss replacement at right back. Just do the same for backup GK and move on to bigger targets.
L'Equipe reporting that we've agreed a fee of €10m or roughly £8m.
Noice. Confirm and move on to that star attacker
Debuchy has supposedly confirmed the move to Arsenal on French TV.
Underwhelming, but right back sorted.
Next.
Buzzing.

Signing of the year...
Still hope they've all gotten this as badly wrong as they got the M'Vila transfer a few years ago.

Underwhelming is the word, nothing worth getting exited about with this potential signing
