Brazil have been poor, while Spain and Honduras haven't? Brazil have looked better than Argentina and Germany IMO, just played two strong teams.

Watching Hulk, Fred and Paulinho play for Brazil hurts my eyes.
I judge Brazil higher than any others though i agree with you that Spain should be added to that list.

Shit defending. Second costa rica goal against Uruguay through the set piece was the highlight.
bar Italy and Germany,and Spain,nobody with any identity.
Not much flair players,agree with dula . Need azidane/ ronaldo soon in world football.
Lot of entertainment though.
Big teams going out was expected courtesy the domestic leagues,it's only been Spain till now.

It's been a very lively, entertaining WC so far.
There seems to be an excellent atmosphere at the games and that really translates on the broadcasts.
I don't think it's true at all that we haven't seen quality - the time, the circumstances and execution of Messi's goal yesterday for example.

I reckon the team with the least woeful defence and the most talented strikeforce will win.
The teams with the more average strikers will go home first
To some degree poor poor refereeing and extreme conditions always have an influence but I don't think one specific team will get through every game with just the help of the ref alone.

😆 Normally Dules is the most positive and optimistic member on the forum and I'm the most negative and pessimistic, but I'm really enjoying the World Cup and Dules is the moaning minnie.

We see in this WC what we have been experiencing in the PL in the last couple of years; even the so called 'weaker teams' are capable of punishing even the best teams if the commitment and effort is not at 100 percent from the traditionally stronger teams. I for one like that aspect of these games a lot.

Twas always ever so Rex, the stronger more experienced teams just do enough to get through the groups and then they get better and better as the tournament progresses.
People sitting on their sofa's eating crisps and drinking beer don't appreciate how physically grueling playing so may games in succession is.
Just like in a game its all about pace and tempo- You jog when you have to you run when you have to and you rest when you have to- The Art of War my friend. 😉

This thread looks more and more like sour grapes the longer the tournament goes.

I quite like teams like Australia, Iran, Costa Rica and the USA because they all play as a TEAM; they manage well despite carrying some sub par players, and the team is greater than its parts. Out of those teams there is really only Iran which plays ultra defensive too; I quite enjoy seeing them defend as well as they do though! The other teams mentioned all play positive, attractive football.

The winner won't be as good as recent teams who won the cup. None of them looks as good as Spain 2010, France 98

Who cares? The team that wins will be better than all the others. Brazil had probably their best ever team in -82 but they still didn't manage to win.
