Nearly every day there's a must watch game. Normally the group stages are the worst bits of any tournament.

This group stage have been great, even for matches like Honduras vs Ecuador and Korea vs Algeria.

The officiating has been rubbish, but sure it all adds to the fun.

Agree with that, Biggus. The ref decided the Italy v Uruguay game too with that ridiculous red card.

Algeria is okay, Nigeria was poor but they got the results they wanted. Ivory Coast is the same. Cameroon is an entirely waste of time and waste of world cup space.

Asia wise I would agree it has been disappointing for us. Australia played well but wasn't lucky, Korea and Japan isn't up to their potential, especially the latter. Iran in my opinion should have won against Argentina and is fantastically organised.

Great World Cup tbh.

Big players have turned up on form, some big teams have flopped dramatically, plenty of plucky underdogs, and a biting scandal!

Great World Cup so far. Just need a couple more long range rockets a la Sunday Oliseh or Gio van Bronckhurst.

And Australia has had a better campaign than England *, so that makes me happy.
