Pretty much all the teams are drab.

My interest in the World Cup is over now. I'm walking away with £384.20 in my pocket I didn't have before the first ball was kicked and now I'll have more free time and will go to bed earlier

Dules hasn't being athletic always been an advantage in football? Didn't Barca disprove the theory that the game would devolve into a game dominated by tall hulking mutants? And remember everyone's athletic and has excellent nutrition now in the top leagues. So the athleticism will allow the talent and technique to shine through.

Great world cup. Highlights have been Spain getting embarrassed and England thinking they'd get out of a pretty tough group by starting Welbeck and Henderson.

One thing thats annoying me is that the referees are not enforcing the ball being placed properly on the spot for penalties.
This will become a real issue when it comes to the knockouts.

I normally get irritated by fussy refs but now they have their spray cans, i am surprised they are not counting the ten yards properly. Howard Webb was the worst. He counted the ten yards then drew the line 2 yards short as the players refused to retreat.

Exactly, no one likes a ref blowing ever two minutes but if you're going to carry a loaded can of foam you should know how to use it properly.
If players are going to place the ball forward of the spot I hope the keepers get off the line nice and early for the spot kicks.

Surprisingly, i have enjoyed many of the games as the "supposed" shit teams like Australia, Ghana, Croatia, Costa Rica, Iran, etc have been great entertainment.
Only Nigeria and Brazil have been poor.
