£130k a week in England would just be marginally more than the reported £60k he is on now due to the Spanish tax laws for foreigners. I don't think £130k is outrageous in England either, especially not for a world class player.

I doubt that tax law even exists. To the best of my knowledge they scrapped it years ago.

We need this to happen. Ok other guys may be technically better or slightly more mobile but the big thing that Sami has that we need is a winning edge and strong character.

I know it was a second string last night but it jumped out just how many sideshow players we have.

That said Sanchez will go some way to addressing that

Looked into it a bit, and you are right; it is now actually 52% for top earners in Spain, but 56% in Catalunya, which makes England a haven where footballers 'only' have to pay 45% income tax.

All in all - Sami needs to get his head sorted. 🙂

I still cant get my head around people not rating Khedira. He has started for Germany and Real Madrid for 4-5 years. If that's not 'world class' then i dont know what is? Schneiderlin is playing for Southampton, has had 1-2 good seasons and made the French squad only thanks to injuries in a position which is not their strongest.

Its actually very similar to people hating on Flamini. Throughout the dark years people were asking for some steel and leadership on midfield, now that we have someone to bark orders, keep it simple and work their socks off for the team he is not good enough?

Schneiderlin is a nice, proven player in the PL. But he strikes me as someone Spurs or Liverpool would pay £25m for, not us.
