Exactly right Claudius, but we know its a case of either/or not as well as.
Wenger has very fixed ideas of how he wants the team to look like and it involves a big front man it always has- Henry/Van Persie/Bendtner/Adebayor/Chamakh/Giroud/Sanogo notice the pattern here?
Those of you wishing that Sanchez will play alone upfront simply don't watch the PL, he is too small he will be physically out muscled and will never reach most of the balls played to him even Wenger is not that stupid and knows this.
Do you really believe Javier Hernandez is stronger or more physical than Sanchez?
It's more difficult to knock Sanchez off the ball than Van Judas IMO. Being short doesn't mean weak nor does being tall means you are strong. Having good upper body strength and knowing how to use your body are the most important for a footballer IMO.
Those going on about Suarez and Aguero playing off a front man, they've both played loads up top on their own and excelled. In fact Suarez looked much better playing as the main striker, it forced Rogers to switch to a front 2.
We looked very good going forward with Gervinho as our main striker, much better than with Giroud leading our attack, there was a lot of pace, movements and fluidity with the way attacked. Major problem was, Gervinho's diabolical finishing and poor decision making fucked up most of the good things he did in that position - Sanchez won't have such a problem as his passing, vision and general awareness are much better. No one is going to convince me Gervinho was stronger and more physical than Sanchez.
I've got no doubt in my mind Sanchez will be used through the middle when Theo gets back (and rightly so because we won't see the best of him playing out wide IMO). My main worry is, we'll look vulnerable on set pieces without Giroud's height. I'll personally drop Arteta and play Chambers in his position if no tall DM comes in.
