I do agree with Biggus though on the players creating this style. It isn't otherwise seen in Spain. It will be interesting to see what the Barcelona Academy churns out in the future.
It'll be very interesting. It's also interesting to see the focus on high intensity and quick transitions that has come to the fore in Europe last few seasons playing out to some extent at this World Cup.
Five years ago it was actively hard to imagine a style of football that could undo Barca and Spain's possession game. At their peak they throttled everyone to death slowly.
