Wasn't there a rumour at the start of last season we have to pay Southampton £10k every time he plays 20mins, hence why Wenger used to bring him on as a late sub 😆

I hope he's more ready than Madrid seem to think, if we buy Morata there won't be another centre-forward coming in.

Trudat Grim Foreskin. This is much, much more like Arsenal.

Latest Morata rumors are loans to Spanish clubs. I really doubt this is gonna happen.

I just can't shake the uncomfortable feeling that Wenger still sees Eeyore as his number 1. In that context a Morata or a class wide forward certainly fits in.

That is indeed a very scary thought.

Players like cavani aren't available to us. We have to try get the best available if that's morata then we need to sign him irrespective of girouds ability.

The only difference ffp has made is real have started to look for massive sums from player sales.

There’s about 2/3 different levels between Cavani & Morata, there is a dozen different strikers we can go for before Morata.. cant believe this guys is seriously a consideration as first team material.

Benteke remy michu and the majority of the rest have all peaked at an inadequate level. Moratas a good player with everything in his locker tall strong fast good technique. He can go as far as he wants hopefully with us.

Real want a loan or a buy back deal. Well be really lucky to get him outright.

Morata strikes me as a pretty rare talent too. I think you need to do one of two things right now: you either go for the proven thing, which means you have to pay through your nose, or you go for a talented player who's yet to break through, which means there's a greater risk involved.

Atletico Madrid have had some great success with the latter; it's how they got hold of Diego Costa before anyone else did. The trick isn't to sign him the season after he has scored 36 goals - it's to sign him the season before. Morata will explode at some point in the future. He looks too good not to. Feel comfortable saying the same about Balotelli too.

I like the idea of Morata playing here, I think I would be chuffed if we signed him.

I don't think he'd be any greater a risk than Balotelli in terms of whether or not he can score or contribute enough consistently to make a significant impact.

Signing him wouldn't create a massive buzz amongst fans the way signing Balotelli would though.

He reminds me of Higuain a lot. Looks a talent but not sure he's good enough yet. We need someone ready to outperform Giroud straight away.

Ideally of coarse. But we can only bring in players that are on the market and want to join us. Hopefully morata is one of those players.

I like Morata a lot, can be more talented than Jese actually, but I wouldn't buy him if Madrid insert some buy back clause.

I think their insistence on a buyback clause is why the transfer is stalling, Clrnc. If Ancelotti's quotes are real it sounds like they're willing to sell him though.

We're desperate for a top talent up front, and while I don't know much about Morata, I'm defintely warming to the idea of signing a really talented player in his early twenties rather than some of the big names we've been linked with.

So many of the strikers talked about just underwhelm me. Remy? Mandzukic? Even big names like Benzema and Ballotelli seem like they would probably stink up the team and spirit we finally have.

Then there's no point. We can't be treated as some sort of feeder club.

I'd don't think we know anything of note about Morata's talent.

Has he played an important role in any of Madrid's big games? Only big game I have seen him in was the Cl final and he didn't really do a thing when he came on for the useless Benzema. What I have seen of him involves decent movement and heading, is that enough for us to train him up on loan for Madrid?

Also, if he is any decent you know what sort of DNA he has. Real will get him back for a minor figure as they will tap him up every year in the media and spanish team. I see no point in going for players from madrid or barca unless: A) they are young and on a real cheap deal (compo) B) They have been driven out of the club as a senior player and won't be in a hurry to return.

Personally I thought Morata was a big improvement on Benzema in the final. He and Marcelo, along with Di Maria, turned the game in Real's favour.
