We signed 5, I think, right after the 8-2, so why not?
Antoine Griezmann
I'm not sure that we'll sign Griezmann anyway.
Wenger's happy with his first teamers, I reckon he's not going to muck about too much with his preferred starting eleven from this season.
A RB, and a striker as either replacement or back-up for Giroud, and that's about it I think.
I feel pretty confident we will either bring back Vela or do a deal with Sociedad for Griezmann involving Vela.

Some of those have to be counted as half signings. Only Mert and Art count.
If we lost the FA Cup to Hull, we might sign another 5. Not now though

I hope so but our team was in much more desperate need that summer compared to now. That was some proper knee jerk bullshit from us that summer.
Griezmann would be a good signing because he's better than Walcott and Podolski.
Definately not better than Theo.

Do you think he's still happy with Arteta in the first 11? I really hope not. I can't imagine he'll be able for a full season as starter again.
He'll rotate between Arteta and Flamini, probably.
Flamini should ideally function as a utility man; someone to throw on late in games to add energy, and a competent squad player. Him and Arteta rotating doesn't quite do it for me. However, I can well see Wenger doing just that and hope Diaby can stay fit.

I think he would be happy continuing to rotate between Flamini and Arteta and on occasion chance Wilshere or Chamberlain alongside Ramsey.
Unfortunately, I agree with Yves' assessment there. I only see Wenger getting a class CM as an opportunistic signing.
Yep, times are tough when you have to agree with me.
Oh, I agree with you all the time, Yves. You are a very sensible woman.
They prefer being called "girls", Rexy.
Nah, my daughter is a girl, but Yves is definitely a woman.

Even if Theo is better, he's of very little use to us. I wouldn't be averse to selling him actually. I've had enough of seeing him and Diaby out half the time.
Damn you're fickle. His last 3 seasons prior to this one have 28 (38), 35 (46) and 32 (43) appearances in PL (+total). That is close to like 75% games played. He had one really bad injury this year and you already want to get rid?
Really? Have to say I'm shocked. Always seems to be missing for extended periods of time.
