Has had a very average season but the potential is obvious and if we turn him down what are we hoping for? Cavani Benzema and co could easily stay put or move elsewhere and we'll end up with who? At 25m or so we need to make the move. No he's not perfect but we're not City or Real who have bought big player after big player and can be picky. There aren't that many forwards out there.

Would Giroud score any of these goals? Balo please.

Yes and I am sure if you look through Rosicky's Arsenal goal collection you could find many stunners. Balotelli scoring a few decent goals doesn't make him more prolific, more reliable and less of a nutcase.

Lukaku would be a much better signing at that money for the club if the big names such as Benz are not available.

But Rosicky had a pretty decent shot before, so his many stunners is just special because he isn't good at it anymore, after his injuries.

I don't think anyone denies Balo is an exceptional talent and is capable of some special goals. But equally, you can't deny he's a nutter who has had problems at every club he's been at. Thinking Wenger will be the one to magically turn that around and make him a consistent and reliable striker is optimistic in the extreme. Just not worth the risk for me.

That is fucking brilliant 😆

It's not optimistic in the extreme when you consider that his other managers have been Mourinho, Mancini , Allegri and Clarence fucking Seedorf. The one good manager on that list has a history of falling out with his players.

I no understand 🙁

I'd be happy with any of Balotelli, Cavani, Benzema and Mandzukic.

Did you never watch Pokemon? Where was your childhood? (Assuming you're a 20-30 year old male....)

😆 Therein lies the rub.

Pokemon was a child of the 90s thing. Rex is a child of the ... 70s?

The 90s sucked anyway. In the 80s we got proper Star Wars, Transformers, and Masters of the Universe. It was the golden age, laddie.

Its a no brainer for 25m at worst he would get 15 league goals at best he could reach up to 30.

I'd say I am more a child of the 80s than the 70s since I was 7 when the 80s began. No, I never watched pokemon, and nor do I ever intend to.

Brilliant analogy.

The guy's 23 years old - however long he has been around, his career at the top level is really only just beginning. Wenger would do great things with him, I'm sure of it. He's a master in improving the all round game of his players and even better at getting them to focus and dedicate themselves to being a top level footballer.

It is well documented that Wenger and his team look for mental attributes like a desire to improve, ambition, dedication to training etc in the players they sign. So he isn't a master at getting them to focus per say. He looks for those traits and may not find them in Mario.

This ^^. I am all for signing balotelli but not if we are putting all our eggs in that basket. Cavani please.

Please old timer.....we had Jurassic Park, Pokemon, Batman Beyond, Dragonball-Z, and Crash Bandicoot. There is no contest.

Masters of the Universe, Transformers, Robotech.
None of this Cow and Chicken / Ben 10 rubbish.

Bring in Balo already. Balo + Sanchez is financially doable. Sell Cazorla after that and let the good times roll.

DBZ and pokémon, beats everything, no contest.

Ben 10 is from the mid noughties btw.

Bitch please. Firstly, Jurassic Park came out in just 92. I was still a kid then.

I'll give you DBZ but everything else there is shite. If you were born in 1978 like me you lived through the absolute best years of children's toys and TV. Ever. Period.

You got: space Lego, the original Technic Lego, Transformers, Scalextric, the NES, the Mega Drive, the C64, Star Wars before it sucked, and Masters of the Universe.

You got to discover the original realtime strategy games and 1-on-1 fighters as they were developed. You got Sierra games, Prince of Persia, Myst and freaking Wolfenstein 3D.

Heck even children's animation was better: proper serials like Ulysses 31, Mysterious Cities of Gold, Robotech and Starr Blazers were abundant.

Aside from the internet pretty much everything since in children's entertainment has been a footnote or a retread. You grew up in the 90s, you probably spent your formative years on ICQ or some shit 😉

get on it wenger, that's the only way we're getting a potential world beater striker. because for damn sure we aren't getting cavani.

baloooooooo

take him out of that racist cesspool they call italy. his transgressions at city were simply due to immaturity. what's going on at milan is down to the poisonous culture. their loss, our gain.

The original Dragonball (when Goku was a kid) is better than DBZ.

And the Genndy Tartakovsky cartoons are pretty good. Could watch them as an adult too, especially Samurai Jack.

Myst was class, and Riven too. Loved them!

Love that goal, the ferocity of that strike is just unreal. Is in before the keeper knows it.

Best post ever.

Add the original Ninja Turtles. Even Sesame Street was better back then.

And if you're Australian you might remember Secret Valley.

Better stop now and talk about Balotelli. No thanks. Too much of a prima donna, too flighty.

That one was shown on Swedish tv too, along with the homeless bear in a rain hat who was obsessed with marmalade sandwiches. English cartoons were so depressing back then. Kids programming made for future wrist cutters.

He really did like his marmalade sandwiches, yes.

Paddington Bear?!

Risking airing that in the Scandinavias - the land of fish, sauna's where the women get their wangers out, UK voyeurs and suicidists!

I watched Fraggle Rock. You should have latched onto that.

Bah, best thing about being a 90's kid is you got to enjoy all of the above. Hell the Flinstones was one of my favorites and that's from the 60's. Oh, and X-Men was great.

I remember thinking his slow turn to receive it and face goal would cost him the chance and then he did that. Hit it like a tennis ball or something.

Haha I remember ICQ but never used it. I did waste many evenings on AOL/AIM though....sigh.

Meh never really liked lego. Preferred playing sports.

We also had classic batman animated series. I did play original prince of person and wolfenstein and they were great. Don't know if you ever played prince of persia where you could rewind time and run on walls. Best platformer i have ever played.

Dragon Ball Z was the Invincibles of kids' t.v. shows.

You're all wrong. It was all about The Trap Door.

It's amazing how far off topic this thread has gone 😆

Now we're talking.

Duckula was great too.

Duckula was awesome. I bought the dvds a while ago.

I was more of an Animaniacs kid myself ... probably all those old-timey movie references
