Obviously nothing in that link, but if we bid €60m/£49m they'll take it seriously IMO. Cavani is a great player but he's replaceable. He's owed €72m(!) over the next four years, if they're actually presented with the chance to get that off the books and get a big chunk of revenue to cover that FFP sponsorship devaluation I do think they'll have to consider it.
Wenger's just got to be aggressive. It's so hard to read him, gonna be a nervy summer. We have years of miserliness and caution and then he spent £42.5m last summer on Özil without blinking an eye. What Wenger are we getting this summer? The prospect of Cavani seems mildly realistic and a complete farce at the same time.
