Fabianski's gone, mate. Only one match left for him to play.

😆 Klaus wants Marshall so bad!

I honestly don't care about anything until we've secured a striker this summer. It would be nice to sign a competent keeper who can provide some competition though.

Can't see him taking a back up job.

And neither should he. You would tell him that he'd get a fair chance; if he proves better than Sneezey he is number 1.

Eh? He's not good enough to be Arsenal number 1.

so where should he go? he's good enough to be pursuing a top 8 job, but there aren't many starting roles available there. it'd be worth it for him to try to push someone like Szczesny out

one of the things that we would find out is if he just looks amazing because he plays for a crap team that faces so many shots, or if he's really good

I don't think he is better than Sneezey either, but you tell him he will get a fair crack in pre-season anyway. Players have inflated belief in themselves, so I have little doubt a player like Marshall quite fancies his chances of taking the number 1 spot. Then, when he doesn't, we have a very competent back-up goalkeeper, and Marshall gets himself a cushy gig on higher wages. Everything is hunky dory.

I'd definitely take him. Not as good as Szczesny but about as good a back up as anyone in the league could hope for.

I think that is what Cardiff rate him at rather than what they will get for him. He'll probably go for half of that imo

I get a bit suspicious when a player is linked to Spurs and then stories appear about us trying to get them. Smacks of agents trying to fleece Spurs. Seems a pretty successful tactic too.

the prospect of Champions League, rather than Championship, football.

The Daily Mail says we've had a £6m opening bid rejected by Cardiff. I'd see Marshall as a great signing if we could get him for anything around that amount, but not at the £15m they were rumoured to be after.

Why on earth would we spend 6 m on a backup keeper when we can have Tim Wiese on a free?
