hows this work then? i thought they were obligated to our accept our 3.5m bid. wheres the upside in us payng 11m?

It's them paying us €11m to keep Vela and own him outright.

We should be asking for more. He is easily worth at least 20m euros.

we should just bring him back, if he makes it here or not we win both ways

Hopefully Campbell has a good World Cup. Might be able to get £10m at a push for him. All those combined should pay for one very good player's transfer fee.

Add in out other £5.6m for fabregas and it looks like we have to get fees before we make and deals.

We own 50% of Vela and 50% of £20m is nearly what we got. Factor in the initial fee Sociedad paid us and we got £12-13m for him. Not bad at all considering that was two years ago and he was basically wanted by no one serious.
