Major issue for all teams is that the pool of top players is no bigger than it has been historically and yet many more teams are going for these players. Add in that there is far more information now and no gaps on the top club'a knowledge an it isn't a good place for a club unwilling to A) part with oversized fees and or B) compete with other clubs for players.

that's a bit better. one thing he's adamant about is that reus isn't going to real as part of any deal

i can actually see real being open to selling even though they have no notable striker. this is the highest value benzema will have, after this his value drops significantly. for a guy who has never been truly loved at real by supporters, 65-70m euros might make sense for them.

if only we were willing to spend money when he was at lyon. we need to start buying elite talents before they go to bayern, barca and madrid so we dont have to pay full sticker price

We were in for Benzema together with United at that time. We were blown out of the water because we couldn't offer a decent fee those days.
