Ok so here is my @Arsenal gossip. The big striker the Gunners are in for is Edinson Cavani, Benzema is not leaving Real Madrid

I was also told the Gunners are looking to sign a second player from @PSG_English & that is @Adriien_Rabiiot again no deal has yet been done

170k followers, followed by alot of notable media types like ballague, jeremy wilson, john cross etc.

gun to your head - eddie cav or benz?

Benzema, still rumours going around about Ibra and noway would PSG sell both in one summer.

Interesting about Rabiot, could be a good signing for us.

I wonder do bookies slash the odds like that just for publicity.

I reckon more than a few of these "ITKs" make a wedge from dodgy deals with bookies. Starting bogus rumours so the bookies can manipulate their odds and get people to gamble the way they want them to.

I think a lot of money came in on Benzema to stay put at 1/2.

Goddamn. If I had a bag, I'd put it down.

lines move when money comes in for the other side.

for example, if its +200 for benzema to arsenal and -200 for him to stay, and 60% of the money is on him coming to arsenal, they will lower the +200 to +150 to arsenal and -150 to stay, hoping that more people will put money on him staying at the better price

oddsmakers main goal is to get a near equal amount of money on both sides of a bet and profit off the small differences by being right more times than they are wrong

We know how bookies normally operate. You see this sort of thing all the time though where bookies make a huge shift in the odds on transfers that never happen. I think a lot of the time its to create hype and drive more betting.

Wouldn't be surprised if they operate on an affiliate program / approach too (getting paid to send traffic).

Do any sites let you 'cash out' on transfer bets? I'd guess not as they're so variable, but you'd make an easy killing on that as an "ITK" with any level of prestige.

Im confident a deal will be done whether its Benzema or Cavani, I'm almost certain Wenger will make a big signing this is the closest we are to a title in years

Nice to see that we still have someone hopeful in here!

I feel i am the only one not too impressed by Benzema.
Cannot put my finger on it and i can't even say it's playing with CRonaldo as he has been pretty shit everytime i've watched France.
edit: wouldn't turn him down if the opportunity arose as he is better than Cavani and Giroud.

Stay calm & confident. It will happen. #afc

Dean remains adamant.

I havent said much during this Benzema circle jerk..  but you are not the only one to feel this way.

that said, i disagree with your edit..  I honestly dont see Benzema being any better than Cavani..   less goals in a team that scores boatloads more goals than teams cavani has played for..  as for giroud, ok, maybe.   but i agree i wouldnt turn him down..  just dont think he's the all THAT special

Benzema and Cavani are both much better than Giroud and that is what matters. Don't think we'll sign either one of them though.

Your point is convincing as i also remember Higuain outscoring Benzema when they were both at RM and i think Cavani's height may make him more useful to us as the big man up top if he can deal with the premiership's physicality.
The fact that he is South American will be a problem when both he and Sanchez are called up for internationals and the random Copa dates.

They're pretty much the same height.

cavani just seems strong and more rugged though..  maybe its his skull-like face

I think when it comes to potential transfer targets, people need to look less at how their output compares to other players and more at what they're asked to do. What Benzema is asked to do at Real Madrid isn't easy. There are three or four strikers who could handle it maybe. Ibrahimovic, Agüero... Tevez the way he played last season. Messi obviously. Not too sure about anyone else.

What's really encouraging about Benzema, apart from his stellar season last year, is that his skillset is pretty complete. There's not one identifiable weakness from a technical point of view. He's been pretty underwhelming at times in the past but he's just coming off a career high. There couldn't be a better time to go for him.
