No, he did say that. Everyone who went for the meeting tweeted that.

Doesn't make it less hearsay. 🙂

Haha, poor Rex. Denial is never an easy thing to deal with.

Would have thought he learned the hard way from his last wishlist

That was different; I wanted Lewandowski to join us, but I fucking LOVE Sagna. 🙁

Sagna has been an amazing servant, he will be missed. Shame he's not going to retire here.

5 days later

Been watching a few vids of him and have changed me mind. He's more composed on the ball than I had thought. Powerful stocky and quick guy

This guy would be £20m if he were a young English bloke. Sign da player Wenger mon! Big ups if ya do seen.

Aurier is so young, are we really gonna try to win a title starting a 21 year old defender in his first year in England?

Title is not the target.

The Prize is the target.

At rightback? Of course.

If surrounded by quality players, even Jenkinson could be a starting player on a PL winning team. It's a theory at least, but I'd rather not find out.

he's a very experienced 21 year old. he's not carl jenkinson with 50 odd games at 22.

Alaba is 21 and plays every week for Bayern.

He's at the perfect age. Excited about this signing.

looking forward to his offensive contribution, think he will be outstanding

Immense header at 2:00 or so in that video Dules posted.

Isn't Aurier going to be off to the ACN next season?

Which means every other January...

You underestimate the Corporal.

Reports in France saying we've made a 8.5m Euro bid for him.

Those reports in France cite bleacherreport.com. Motherfuckers don't even click on links nowadays.

There's some really good things in that video. Exciting player. Hope we get this wrapped up soon.

Ideally Sagna signs on for another two years and we then have two quality right backs with Sagna more able to cover at centre back. Jenks can go and spend a year on loan at a good club in the Premier League.

Bit more info on him from goal.com:

Someone's trying to show his not so good stuff! Still think there's a lot of very promising things in there. He can beat his man on the outside, that's massive for an Arsenal fullback. Crossing's a bit inconsistent but he can whip it at real pace - easy to become a bit more accurate and consistent with practice. He has such pace and power and I absolutely love the way he hangs in the air.

Looks a but like an Eboue / Kolo Toure hybrid! Wenger will have to do some work on him but I reckon he's got massive potential.

😆 That miss at 1.20!

😆

You've gotta love Kolo.

Clearly he doesn't have the most cultured off passing but he looks like he'd be a decent option for central midfield. He's a powerful energetic guy who could help our pressing game

Keep him at RB, he's just better than a lot of other Toulouse players so ends up playing in other positions, but he's definitely a RB.

Really? Looks exciting to me. Positioning is what worries me most, and that can be learned.

Not impressed by those compilations at all.

Was thinking the same thing earlier. Looks bobbins on youtube. I can't remember the last time that was ever a good sign for anything. Even Lee Cattermole has a decent compilation or two up there.

I doubt that Sagna had many great compilations of him when he came here. I don't pay much attention to youtube videos.

I like his crossing and his energy to be on the end of something. But his positioning looks worse in the compilation videos! I am not sure if he can be the first choice if sagna leaves.

Such a weird argument. Strong athletic quick tackling defender with a great leap at a good age. Can dribble a few more yards than Sagna too. I think you've both got "Top Top Super Super Quality Syndrome".
