He's just barely a bigger risk than Coleman, who is not as great positionally as his hype would have you believe.

Hmm having seen him more he looks too eboueish

Well he's taken Eboue's place in the national side at 21, when Eboue is still in his prime. I think that should tell us something

Coleman is definately overrated and Aurier underrated.

Aurier has everything in his locker. From here on it is just about receiving the correct coaching, which he will when he joins us.

I just don't think he looked that good going forward. Decent crosses i guess.

What is he supposed to do going forward as a fullback? score a hat-trick?

Every cross he had was a chance, such good shape on the ball.

He has everything he needs to be successful. As long as he's intelligent enough to learn from the coaches and his experiences he'll be a great player. Eboue, Johnson and Richardson all had the qualitys but were to dim to learn. While someone like Zabeleta just continues learning and improving.

I (and I'd guess most others) don't really doubt his ability as a prospect, it's more a question of how he'll perform next year. With our new money we're a win-now team. Sagna was a rock for us, we'll miss that more than we might think.

Evra, Vidic, mert, kos all struggled at first there's a good chance he'll be the same.

like eboue did.

sorry, i'm just not interested in anyone who's not a natural defender.

He's narrowed his market significantly. Bit of a struggle to find someone who's easy on the eye, available and who plays at the back for Doncaster Belles or Arsenal ladies.

Fastest at the world cup!

Sold, get him in. Even if his defensive postion is bad he will be able to recover, plus look at this skill going forward. Could be a situation where he is so good going forward that you stop playing him further back to release his potential.

You mean like playing Eboue as a winger when he proved cack as an RB? Here is an idea - why don't we sign a competent RB and a class winger? Crazy, I know.

A defensive right back doesn't make a competent right back. It's just your idea of a competent right back.

Hey, I wasn't the one suggesting to play Aurier further forward. The truth is, if he played as a winger, then there are sooooo many alternatives who are better suited to that role.

Fair enough, in fact I agree with you there. Think I was taking a point off your post that you were not making.

He's not a winger, he's obviously a defender "naturally", whatever that really means.
