Cesc might want us but do we want him? That's the question.

Wenger would always make room for Cesc, he's the prodigal son.

I'd take Cesc back in a heartbeat. No other player has given me as much joy watching the Arsenal in the last 7 years or so.

Cesc was the best player in the league when he was here. I think he's probably happy enough at barca. It's the fans that haven't really taken to him.

I remember chatting to Spanish blokes about cesc. In Spain the media portrayed him as a typical drunken English chav. They see Brits abroad live and thought that culture had ruined cesc and made him English. Insidents like the famous spitting, wearing a hoodie and pictures of nights out had all been used by there press to paint cesc as stereotypical drunken chav brit. They saw him as an example of what the English culture can do to a young guy.

It'd be so typical of Wenger to go for another attacking midfielder when the squad is screaming out for quality in other areas of the pitch.

Can't see this happening. Cesc will take over from Xavi soon and he'll eventually win the fans over.

He was totally amazeyballs, wasn't he?

Good for creating 3 or 4 clear goal scoring opportunities a game on his own.

Liverpool and City have shown that a DM isn't strictly necessary, Gerrard and Henderson in particular are full of running and energy which makes up for the lack of a defensive specialist.

Ramsey is pretty much perfect as a CM, and for all of Fabregas' alleged defensive faults, he never stops running and pressing. He was always the guy with the most distance covered when he played for us.

Add Cesc, a top class striker, and a right back if Sagna leaves, and we'll have an ace team.

Yeah, that's how I would line up with Cesc, Ramsey and Ozil in one team.

But I really can't see Barcelona allowing Fabregas to leave especially when Xavi's approaching retirement and Iniesta's nearly in his 30's.

Also, it would mean Walcott, Wilshere and Ox would be fighting for one place, not sure how that would go down. Unless, we can recreate the balance Liverpool have in midfield with Gerrard and Henderson.

2006-2009 Ronaldo owned the PL.

Cesc was never the best player in the league.

I'd say once you remove Ronaldo (who, let's face it, was/is a complete freak), Cesc is a fair shout.

Think someone forgot about the Portugeezer...

Cesc played two seasons in England after Ronaldo had gone.

He was definitely the best midfielder in the league, if not the World at some stage of his time with us.

Not sure about the world. Think some people are overrating him. Fair enough he was our player.
