Not the worst season finale.

Tyrion killing (or shooting?) his dad didn't feel like as big a moment as it should have done. Deserved more than a couple of mins at the end of the episode.

Interesting to see how the Stannis arc proceeds next season. What won't be interesting is the Daenerys storyline, it's become insanely pointless.

Dany's storyline's main point is to be grimly unpleasant. Everything is shit.

tyrion, jaime, and arya are the only compelling characters left.

in terms of plot, i'm interested to see what stannis does next season now that he's back in the game, and tywin is down and out.

No way Tywin lives through those arrows. He's too old and its the best way to kill off his character. I"m not convinced either Clegane is dead however, unless I see a body.

Bran and Stannis storylines now look the best, and Dany's and King's Landing's look the most tiresome at this point, which is an exact 180 degree reversal from last season from me. Hopefully there will be far less Theon/Reek nonsense, and the introduction of some proper new characters ala Oberyn this season

The Mountain is obviously not dead. He's coming back as some sort of roided up monster.

Brans story line looks fucking terrible. Its like some CBBC, half 4 in the afternoon shite at this stage.

Agree that Dany is boring as hell. About 2 scenes from here this season would have been plenty.

I really enjoyed the Tyrion, Arya and John/Stannis parts of that episode though. Great stuff.

Stannis and king's landing are good story lines. Can't stand daenerys and her army of herb orbiters.

I think Tyrion, Arya, Daenerys and Jon are the interesting characters. Can't stand Stannis, but his friend/advicer/smuggler whose name I've forgotten is likable. Daenerys' storyline is only interesting when it's moving forward, though. Like season 1 and 3. Season 2 and 4 haven't been good for her.

Liam Cunningham's such a great actor. Davos would be really bland in the hands of most others.

Davos is boring as batshit in the books. Cunningham is great - he's the Anglophone Jean Reno.
