Great episode. Loved the fight up until THAT moment. The way Oberyn yelled "You raped her! You murdered her! You killed her children!" pumped me up even more right until his death which was so gruesome I kinda felt his pain. Biggest no! please no! moment of the series so far for me, I really liked Oberyn and Tyrion so it hit me way harder than Ned and Robb's deaths. Really hope Tyrion survives somehow, without him the show would lose too much.. wonder if the trial by combat can be counted as a draw since both of the champions died?

Fucked up show. GRR Martin builds up likeable characters and then kills them off in the most horrible ways he can imagine. In the beginning it made the show unpredictable and entertaining, but now it's getting overplayed and just annoying. I also can not stand all the meaningless, aimless conversations that go fucking nowhere. Advance the main plot you cunts!

Really took me a while to get to sleep after that ending. My God. I have enjoyed some great HBO violence - Rome had some good stuff, and GoT obviously has loads, but that ending was truly awe inspiring. Is that even physically possible?

I'm annoyed at myself for forgetting what GRR Martin is like. I was enjoying Oberyn's Inigo Montoya impersonation and forgot that people who you grow to like end up dead in horrible ways. Damn it!

By convention in this thread TV spoilers (ie from the most recently screened episode) are fine, book spoilers aren't. Biggus that was a pretty poor effort and you know it.

Well damn... They gave us hope for a few minutes and then crushed it (literally). Oberyn was such a good character. The scene was almost as traumatizing as the red wedding but this was just so sudden and brutal. I honestly thought he was going to chuck his spear at one of the Lannisters (preferably Cercei or Tywin) but man oh man.

Btw quoting biggus' message doesn't help eliminate the spoiler. I read that and it's not that big of a spoiler because I kinda expect it but now i'm going to be looking for something to happen.

That fight was booked like a WWE match. Bit of a disappointing episode overall. The wall, Dany, the Boltons, all dull. Like I give a fuck that the worm guy is in love.

Just a heads up, I remember someone on here talking about Vampire Diaries, or maybe it was True Blood, and how quickly they managed to smash out a few story lines every season.

Yeah. Game of Thrones is junk food entertainment, and there's nothing wrong with that per se. I think it had illusions about being something more when it started out though.
